Reducing our Pawprint.
Here at Unleash: Brooklyn we are taking every opportunity we can to reduce our pawprint. With a 7,000sf facility we are making sure to
have as little impact on the enviorment as possible. We looked to use elements that would not only enhace our loft, but aid in carbon reduction.
Our daycare runs are lined with recycled rubber tires, which also act as shock absorbant flooring for our guests. All of our cleaning agents are eco friendly, which is not only good for the enviorment, but great for our 4 legged guests. The beautiful interior wood is reclaimed from old factories to reduce the amount of new lumber being used in construction. (Psst...It just looks nicer too :). A temperature controled enviorment is a must to maintain the proper conditions for those staying at Unleash, our state of the art heating and cooling system keeps our loft at the ideal temp all year long.
Our other big concern is emissions on the road, afterall we all walk down the street and so do our animals. In the near future we will be adding our bio desiel bus for pick up and delivery throughout the NYC Metro area, If we are going to be traveling throughout the borroughs we should at least do it cleanly. We ecourage our employees to bike or walk to work as often as possible and to use mass transit if this is not an option.
Even with all of these elements in place we realize inevidably there will be tiny carbon pawprints about, so we took the liberty of planting 7 trees this year to help wipe them away. At Unleash: Brooklyn we are always looking at ways to improve the enviorment and our effect on the enviorment.
